Fieldwork Sessions
The Field-Seattle offers Fieldwork sessions several times a year, in autumn, spring, and summer. The sessions provide participating artists a chance to show their work and give each other supportive and concrete aesthetic feedback. Each session is led by one or two Field facilitators who are especially skilled in reflective feedback. These sessions are open to everyone from aspiring artists to those well-established in their fields, working in any art form. Many sessions are offered for mixed disciplines while some focus on a special topic (i.e. playwriting, the development of longer works, mid-career artists). See below for our current offerings and to register.

FACILITATORS:
A K Mimi Allin
A K Mimi Allin is a conceptual artist working in public performance, installation, self-portraiture, video and endurance mediums. In the past two years, she has held artist residencies at an architecture firm, at Tent City 3 and at Performance: Space Available. In the summer of 2011, she spent 65 days prostrating a 36-mile pilgrimage around Mount Rainier in a search for the sacred. Artist website.
Wyly Astley
Wyly Astley is a visual artist working on a yearlong, self-designed residency at Little Eorthe Farm in Orting. Wyly is awed and inspired by natural design and re-creates versions of things she sees and experiences in nature. She plays with color and scale and especially likes to show her work in site-specific, outdoor installations. Wyly also love to watch people interact with her work. Like so many things in nature, she use color and shape to attract people to get close to and touch her work. Artist website.
Demo Sessions
If you are a teacher, mentor, administrator, or a member of an arts group, find out how The Field can benefit the artists you work with. The Field – Seattle offers free demo sessions to engage artists from all disciplines, at all career stages, in the power of reflective feedback. Demo sessions range from a 10-minute presentation to a 2-hour session where the artists in your group can show their work and practice giving and receiving relective feedback. Contact The Field-Seattle and we’ll plan a session to fit your needs.
Workshops
The Field-Seattle also offers workshops on reflective feedback (on request) and an annual June facilitators gathering. Please contact us at thefieldseattle[at]gmail.com for more information about these events or to make a request.
